October 28, 2011

Established as one of the UK’s largest independent film equipment rental companies and having recently expanded to offer a substantial lighting rental facility, Take 2 has just announced an investment of £1.25 million in the latest camera equipment and lenses to hit the international market.

Take 2 offers one of the most varied inventories on the rental market, fulfilling the needs of even the most demanding shoot. Recent orders, made as a result of IBC, total in excess of £1 million and include the purchase of eight new ARRI Alexa Studios, two sets of Leica Primes alongside the new Angenieux and Alura Mini Zooms. The new equipment will be available to hire from Take 2 in the spring.

A further £240,000 has also been invested in RED Epics which are already working with crews across the UK.

Glyn Edridge, Managing Director of Take 2, commented, “We are thrilled to expand Take 2’s offer and proud to be the largest independent stockist of the ARRI Alexa Studio in the UK. Whether it’s a feature or a commercial, we can meet the requirements of all DoP’s with our very comprehensive array of stock and the latest equipment on the market.”

Milan Krsljanin, New Business Developer at ARRI, added, “This is thus far the largest individual order in the UK for Alexa Studio cameras and with it Take 2 is clearly demonstrating its commitment to servicing clients with the best products available!”
